Hi all. We have a Servo Impact 2 CNC Mini-Mill. It's 3 Axis with DOS based G code programming. It was never capable of performing the task we needed. Has had very light use, and has only cut gold and silver. I'm looking for some feedback as to it's usefullness to anybody, as well as its' value.

Need Help! Servo Motor Size for Bridgeport type machine

Bridgeport now uses SEM motors on their EZ-Trak models, and I think on the R2E4 and later servo BOSS machines. These are great motors if you can get a deal on them. If you want direct drive or 1:1 belt drive, a beefy NEMA size 34 motor could do it, or a size 42 for sure. If you can use a 2:1 or 3:1 reduction, then a size 34 will be no problem.
